As a center designed for practices and knowledge production and transference and development of productivity, innovation and quality management technologies, the IBQP develops programs and projects to to attend private and public organizations, regarding Systemic Productivity methods and techniques. The IBPQ has developed the concept of Systemic Productivity, meaning an integrated approach of the main factors related to the productive process: social, technological, cultural, economic and environmental issues.

      ABOUT THE INSTITUT
 

The IBQP-Brazilian Institute of Quality and Productivity is a non-profit private entity formed by associated companies, governmental and non-governmental organizations, entrepreneurial and workers´ representatives, technical and scientific institutions, universities and citizens.

 It is a direct result of the national mobilization for the development of quality, productivity and innovation in Brazil. It was created with the objective of ensuring competitive advantages  for the productive segments of the country in the international market, contributing to a socially fair, economically feasible and environmentally sustainable development.

 It was founded in 1995 by a Technical Cooperation Agreement between Brazil and Japan. This agreement has allowed the  technical and scientific development of the IBQP in modern and innovative management concepts, methods and techniques focusing on the increase of productivity and competitiveness.

 In december 12th, 2002, the IBQP was recognized by the Federal Government- according to the Law 9790/1999- as a Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP), allowing the signature of Partnership Terms with public organizations for the development of specific projects.
